Cancer treatment is tough. Moksi is a gentle but effective counterbalance.
Moksi is more than skin care. Itβs the story of a woman who experienced first-hand that something essential was missing in the world of clean cosmetics. And she bravely decided to take matters into her own hands.
When Lies was undergoing cancer treatment, the heavy therapies took a toll on her skin. The search for gentle products that provide much-needed comfort and support was difficult. So eventually she stopped looking, and started creating. Moksi was born: a range of skincare products made specially for people who are in active therapy.
Because fighting cancer often means attacking your own body too. Chemotherapy, radiotherapy and cortisone can reduce the immunity of the skin, making it thinner, vulnerable and more sensitive. Cells are damaged, resulting in dry, flaky, itchy or inflamed skin. Treating those issues with gentle products is an important step towards regaining comfort.
So far Lies has developed four complimentary skin products, and there is much more to come.
Lies is on a mission to help people with a cancer diagnosis regain control over their skincare choices. Offering them a beacon of simplicity and bodily comfort during an emotional process filled with complex information and overwhelming changes.
With this brave and generous project Lies is using her own experience to help others responsibly take care of their skin when circumstances make it hard to do so. She is single-handedly shifting our views on what skin care can mean, and pulling the subject of self-care during cancer treatment out into the open. The solutions Lies develops overflow with love, and it shows. π
A loving product offering comfort and dignity when needed most
